I could not be any more excited to be a part of this blog tour and introduce you to Brooklyn Skye. Without further ado, here is the interview!
Describe yourself in five words.
What is the best piece of advice have you ever received in your writing career?
Ooh, that’s hard. Probably not to compare myself to others. It’s difficult not to, especially when there are so many amazing announcements made on Twitter each day about agents and book deals and what not, but focusing on your craft is what’s most important. Do that, and everything else will fall into place.
What was your favorite part of writing STRIPPED?
By far, it was the banter between Quinn and Torrin. I loved throwing unexpected/harsh Quinn-isms at Torrin and seeing how he’d react. I think he held himself quite nicely 😉
Which actor/actress would you like to see playing the lead character(s) from STRIPPED?
Quinn: Dakota Fanning
Torrin: Heath Ledger
Derek: a younger, grungy version of Johnny Depp
Nikki: Milla Jovovich
What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about STRIPPED?
Pacific Rim (Torrin’s school) is also the name of a porno, LOL. However, I didn’t find that out until one of my beta readers Googled it. I thought it was too funny to change.
E-Books or Traditional Paper Books?
Because I spend most of my time staring at a computer screen, it’s nice to hold a paper book at the end of the day.
What are you working on now?
More Quinn and Torrin! WITHOUT YOU, a novella that continues their story will be released October 8th! How about a teaser…….
Can you say tequila and lifeguard towers?
After that I’ll be writing a companion novel that gives Nikki her own story which will release Spring 2014.

Miss Riki’s Review of STRIPPED:
Quinn Montgomery is haunted by the past. Between her sister’s suicide and the scandal that rocked her family’s very existence she has a lot on her mind, and falling in love is the last thing she wants. Her sister took a bottle of pills and her own life, apparently over a boy, and Quinn is determined not to make the same mistake. When the very sweet and oh-so-sexy Torrin walks into her life, Quinn is faced with emotions she never wanted to feel. When all of the secrets of the past come bounding out into the open Quinn is forced to make a decision. Can she ever learn to open up and forgive?
I loved this book. Quinn is dark and tormented and sassy as all get out. Despite her gruff mannerisms and tendencies to push everyone away I felt connected to her as a character and desperately wanted her to find peace. Torrin is the perfect blend of darling and sexy and is the perfect male character. Together their banter is witty and the romance very real. No matter what the circumstances may be, as a reader I wanted these two characters to get together!
The book deals with some pretty heavy themes, including alcoholism, suicide, and mental illness, but it’s done in a very heartfelt and meaningful way. It’s never too bogged down with these themes and leaves the reader with a sense of hope through it all. I was emotionally invested in this book and cried actual tears at the climax of the story. Stripped is extremely well-written and drew me in from the very beginning. I highly recommend this book!
Brooklyn Skye grew up in a small town where she quickly realized writing was an escape from small town life. Really, she’s just your average awkward girl who’s obsessed with words.
