It’s that time of the week again where I check in with you with what’s being going on over here and I look forward to hearing what’s new and exciting with you!
What I’m Writing:
It’s been an up and down week for writing for me. I participated in a couple of sprints with Friday Night Writes over on Twitter and made some seriously good progress on my novel, but I think I might have written myself right into a hole. It just goes to show that all of the plotting in the world sometimes can’t save you. So, I’ve spent the last two days moving things around and cutting (oh, the dreaded cutting) and I think I’m prepared to move forward once again. I’m aiming for 6,000 new words this week.
What I’m Reading:
I’m seriously all over the place with my reading this week. I’m still reading INSURGENT (yes, STILL!) and am working on another YA novel from Kate Scott titled COUNTING TO D. I’d like to wrap both of those up this week and get reviews posted shortly thereafter.
What I’m Listening To:
I did all my writing in total silence this week and didn’t do much driving around, so this week I really didn’t listen to anything! I do like having a sort of soundtrack when I’m writing, so I’ll get back to listening this week.
What’s Inspiring Me:
This week I’m inspired by all of the aspiring authors who put themselves out there for Pitch Wars on Twitter. It’s a big deal to finish a manuscript and polish it to your best work, much less putting it out there for agents to hopefully fall in love with, and I’m inspired by all the writers who did it this week. Good luck to all of you!
This week is all about getting out of the hole I wrote myself into last week! I’m aiming for 6,000 words and hoping to finish the two novels I’m currently reading.
