Description from Goodreads:
He’ll do anything to win her heart. She’ll do anything to keep him away. Country star Cole Grayson is in town, and Kylie Andrews is less than thrilled. As if months of changing the radio station and tearing down his posters weren’t bad enough, now she has to deal with a town of fans swarming toward the man who deceived her the year before. But when Kylie’s eyes meet Coles again, she can’t deny the electric chemistry that drew her to him the first time around. Cole Grayson is on a mission. Ever since Kylie left him, he hasn’t been able to forget her sweet country smile. After writing a song just for her, he sets off for her hometown to prove he’s not the player she thinks he is. But as much as Cole can’t forget her, Kylie wonders if she can forgive him.
Miss Riki’s Review:
This is yet another wonderful little novella from the Entangled Bliss line. It’s sweet and endearing; with loads of main character chemistry that jumps right off the page. I particularly enjoyed the fact that Kylie and Cole had a past coming into the start of the novel, so the love connection wasn’t unfounded or rushed in any way. The romance in this book is well realized and just a little bit steamy. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and spice.
Kylie is a great main character. Although she’s wounded from being let down by the men in her past, she’s got good spirit and is willing to take a chance on love. This is a good thing, because Cole is totally swoon-worthy and such a great leading man. He’s got all of the great characteristics of a top country music star, but none of the ego. He knows what it means to be a real small town hero and is willing to do whatever it takes to be that man.
Taming the Country Star is a unique take on the cowboy theme with a wonderful small town setting and unforgettable characters. If you’re looking for a quick read that will leave you smiling, grab a copy of Margo Bond Collins’ latest novella. (Plus, it’s only $0.99 on Amazon. Bargain!)
