Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris–until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all…including a serious girlfriend.
But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?
Miss Riki’s Review:
It’s official. I have drunk the Stephanie Perkins Kool-Aid and I am hooked.
This book is so stinking cute- I can hardly stand it. Besides being well written and plotted deftly, every character is real and flawed, yet so super loveable. Anna is adorable- the type of girl you just want to be friends with. Her school friends are equally sweet and they are a group that you wish you could hang out with every day. That brings us to Etienne St. Claire. *SWOON* I think I just met my new favorite book boyfriend!
The setting is lush and exciting and makes you want to jump a plane to Paris, like right this instant. I wanted to live in this world and attend this school with these characters. The dialogue is witty and the conflict feels real without being melodramatic.
I highly recommend this book to readers of all ages. It’s good, clean fun that anyone will enjoy.
