January Reading Challenge Update
January was a great month for catching up on some novels that have been on my to-be-read shelf for a while, and I couldn’t be happier that I finally got to them! It was a wonderful start to the year for reading, with a wide variety of books, including some historical fiction, some sci-fi, some contemporary young adult romance, and even a little urban fantasy. While I did stick close to my favorites quite a bit this month, I also read outside of my comfort zone and fell in love with some books that I might otherwise have overlooked. Special thanks to friends this month for recommending wonderful new books!
For those of you who missed my initial post on this topic, I have decided to embark on a most enjoyable challenge to read 100 books in 2015. I have chosen to participate in the Goodreads 2015 Reading Challenge in which I select my own goal. Each month I will give you an update on where I am in the challenge and what books I was lucky enough to indulge in. I’ll also include a purchase link for each book in case you would like to pick a read up for yourself.
In the month of January I have read eight books, and according to the graph on Goodreads, I am at 8% of my goal and am right on track!
This past month I have read the following books:
The Conspiracy of Us by Maggie Hall (Review to come)
As usual, I welcome your book recommendations!
