About CATS A-Z:
In this cat-themed alphabet book for mature readers, light humor blends with sardonic wit and serious philosophical musings. This is not just another cute cat book. It is a cat book for the more deeply contemplative cat lover.
Miss Riki’s Review:
In this delightful book, Knox has brought cats to life in a series of wonderful vignettes aimed at a more mature reader. It might very well be an alphabet book, but the stories within are a fabulous mix of funny and serious that will appeal to an adult reader. There’s lots to make you smile, but also some food for thought and material presented that imparted new information. Along with each story is an original piece of artwork, beautifully illustrating each page. Besides being an intriguing mix of stories, the book is also beautiful, and would make an excellent gift for the animal lover in your life. My own copy has a prized place on my coffee table where it has become a conversation piece. Cats A-Z is a creative mix of written word and visual art that is sure to please.

About Martha Knox:
I mainly draw my inspiration from mankind’s relationship with other animals. My pets are a constant source of reference. I contemplate humanity’s place in the natural world so I visit museums and draw from preserved specimens, and I visit zoos and draw from live animals. I dream of someday traveling to the Galapagos Islands. I also derive much inspiration from African textiles, Australian Aborigine dot paintings, Native American carvings, along with contemporary art. My favorite museum is the University of Pennsylvania’s Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. All the artwork I make relates to a yearning to connect to a larger world.
