Full Force Fatherhood by Tyler Anne Snell
About the Book:
Mark Tranton thought his bodyguard career ended the day he watched a client die. Now Kelli Crane—the widow—needs Mark to keep her and her little girl safe. Mark swears he’s not the man for the job, but when the vulnerable beauty is attacked, there’s no way he can deny the woman he failed two years before.
Being around Kelli again stirs something in Mark he could never admit. And spending time with her daughter makes him long to be more than just their personal protectors. But digging into the past riles someone who won’t rest until Kelli pays the ultimate price. Mark refuses to allow that to happen. Even if he has to sacrifice their newly discovered happiness to keep her out of the line of fire.
Miss Riki’s Review:
You know you’ve found a great book when it keeps you up half the night turning pages after making you feel ALL THE FEELINGS. This book was just that for me. It opens with an absolutely devastating tragedy that sets the stage for a book so full of heartfelt emotion and drama.
Our leading man, Mark, is the perfect tortured hero. (Don’t you just love a man with a dark past?!) He’s finished with being a bodyguard after losing a high proifile client, but he has a heart fo gold, and when Kelli comes to him needed help, he’s bound by duty and maybe a little guilt to help her. But that’s just the hook. What follows is an intense attraction that neither of them can deny.
I also loved Kelli in this novel. She’s heartbroken over the loss of her husband, but when she finds his journal and realizes that there is way more to his death than she thought, the game begins. She’s a moter to an adorable little girl, and I loved the scenes where she;s being a parent as much as I loved the scenes where she’s becoming a badass and saving everyone from everything. It’s so, so cool to see an “everyday” girl get to transform into someone who jst plain gets shit done.
Kelli is the perfect match for Mark, and I love, love, love the slow-burn romance that blossoms between them. These are two lead characters that you are dying to see get together, and when that first hesitant kiss finally happens on the page….SWOON.
And I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the absolutely wonderful female friendship in this book. Kelli’s BFF Lynn is such a cool character that provides lightheartedness to what sometimes can be heavy stuff, and I loved the dynamics between the two women. I think kids these days would say, “Squad Goals.” Seriously, every girl needs a Lynn in her life!
This book is a romantic suspense with a ton of heart, and it left me feeling so many emotions. You’ll love the romance, and the plotting of the mystery is intricate. The action scenes are dynamic, and the whole book is fast-paced. Readers will love meeting more of Orion Security in this second installment!
