 About TOTALLY HIS:

“Moving and inspiring.” —  Publishers Weekly

Sophia Birch loves nothing more than the spotlight–as long as she’s playing a part. A theater geek from an early age, Sophia now runs a little hole-in-the-wall playhouse that feeds her passion… even if it sometimes makes it hard to feed herself! And then one night it all nearly goes up in smoke. Desperate to save the only copy of an irreplaceable script, Sophia rushes back into the burning building.

Police officer Finn Kelly knows crazy when he sees it. And a woman running back into a burning building definitely qualifies as crazy. She also happens to be incredibly sexy. But when he finally finds her ruffling through drawers and refusing to leave, his only option is to carry her out over his shoulder….and then decide whether to arrest her.

Q&A With Erin Nicholas:

Describe yourself in five words.

Spontaneous, sarcastic, optimistic, impatient, believer

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?

Well, Nora didn’t give it to me directly J but this quote is always in my head:  “You can fix anything but a blank page.” Nora Roberts and this one… it’s not her quote, but a friend sent it to me and it now hangs next to my computer:  “You can be the ripest, juiciest peach in the world, and there’s still going to be somebody who hates peaches.” (I don’t know who to attribute it to, but I love it! J )

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?

Hmmm… I really can’t think of anything too bad! I do Google recipes for my books a lot. Which is a little embarrassing if I think about it because it demonstrates clearly how little cooking I do! 😀

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing your main characters from TOTALLY HIS?

Oh I think Amanda Seyfried should be Sophie! And I’d be okay with Ian Somerhalder as Finn

What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about TOTALLY HIS?

My daughter and her “geeky” interests – which I think are just really cool – like superheroes, online communities, and theater) was the inspiration for all the heroines in this series. There’s a little piece of her in each of them

Excerpt from TOTALLY HIS:

Finn would have noticed her even if she hadn’t been wearing hot-pink lingerie. And nothing else.

He really would have. She was totally his type—brunette and curvy and, apparently, a little crazy. As evidenced by the fact that she was trying to sneak into a burning building. He did seem to be attracted to crazy. No matter how hard he tried not to be.

He watched the woman stop at the east corner of the Birch Community Playhouse, the one farthest from where the firefighters were working. Then he frowned as she slipped into the shadows along the side of the theater and out of sight.

Dammit. He started after her.

As one of the cops on scene, he had to keep the area clear for the firefighters and keep the crowd of onlookers safe. If one of them happened to have a great body and be dressed in nothing but a pink bra-and-panty set, well, he’d just call that a perk. And as he jogged across the street, Finn couldn’t help but wonder if she was in costume or if the alarm had caught her in the midst of a wardrobe change. If that was her outfit for the show, he might need to buy a ticket.

He turned the corner to the back of the building and looked around. He didn’t see her. She’d gone inside. Dammit. He climbed up the four steps that led to the back door of the theater.

Finn touched the door and found it cool. It seemed that the flames were still contained to the wall on the other end of the theater, but it was a mistake to assume anything when fire was involved.

He stepped inside and pulled the flashlight from his belt, then shone it back and forth. He turned a full circle, not sure where to go next. Just then Finn heard a door slam somewhere behind him. He swung toward the sound just in time to see the woman step out from a room.

Her eyes went wide when she saw him.

“Boston PD! Stop!” Finn shouted.

She had covered up. Kind of. She now wore a robe, short, sheer, and unbelted. Which really did nothing to cover his view of her panties and bra. Or all that skin.

And maybe that was why she suddenly took off at a run.

Finn stared after her for a moment, a little stunned. She was actually running from him?

The woman made it to the other end of the lobby and through one of the doors leading into the main theater before Finn got to her. He grabbed the door as it was swinging shut, nearly smashing his fingers. The lights were off in the inner theater but, as he plunged into the darkness, he got a big whiff of whatever body spray or perfume she wore. He took a deep breath. It was nice. Lemony. Sweet and…

Jesus. Finn scowled and turned his flashlight back on. He was thinking about how she smelled? How about the smell of smoke that was going to be chasing them both pretty soon?

“Hey!” he called into the theater. You have to come out, ma’am. It’s not safe for you to stay in the building.”

“Just give me a damned minute!” she shouted.

“I’m sorry, ma’am, I can’t do that,” Finn said.

“I have to find something. Then I’m coming right out.”

“Ma’am, I will have to remove you myself if you don’t come out immediately.”

“Oh, for fuck’s sake!” he heard her exclaim.

“Ma’am, this is your last warning. Stop what you’re doing and come with me.”

Enough of this. Finn stalked over to her, put a hand around her upper arm, and turned to remove her from the building.

She dug her heels in, though, pulling against his hold. “Hey, you can’t—”

“Oh, yes I can,” he told her calmly, careful to keep his eyes off her body. The heat from her skin had immediately soaked through the thin robe, and Finn felt it traveling from his palm up his arm. “I’ve given you several opportunities to cooperate.”

“You’re arresting me?” she asked.

“Are you doing something that you need to be arrested for?” he asked, moving her toward the door, even with her resisting.

“No! I need to get something. It’s very important. It belongs to a friend of mine. It’s irreplaceable.”

“Ma’am,” he said calmly, “don’t make me carry you out of here.”

She pulled against his grip and leaned all her weight into fighting the forward motion across the room.

Well, shit. He’d kind of figured it would come to this, but he wasn’t sure he was ready to touch her more. Still, it didn’t look as if he had a lot of choice. Reminding himself that he was a professional, he bent and hooked an arm behind her knees, looped the other around her back, and lifted her.

She gasped, and for a moment she didn’t fight. And he thought maybe the hard part was over. But as he headed out the door, trying to ignore how warm and soft and fucking lemony she was, she started to wiggle.

Q&A With Debbie Mason:

Describe yourself in five words.

Creative, dreamer, empathetic, introvert, intuitive.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?

Read, read, read, and read some more, and then write what you love to read.

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?

Aidan Gallagher was a DEA agent before becoming a detective with the Harmony Harbor Police Department, so my searches into where the DEA’s New England field offices are located, current cases, and background on specific agents might have drawn their attention.

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing your main characters from SUGARPLUM WAY?

My inspiration for romance writer and bookstore owner Julia Landon is Martine McCutcheon. She played Natalie in Love Actually. And my inspiration for Aidan is Gerard Butler when he was in his late thirties.

What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about SUGARPLUM WAY?

Julia and I share some of the same quirks. She eats peanut butter straight from the jar like I do. My office is almost as messy as her bedroom. And to get deeper into the story, like me, she writes with her eyes closed.

***

Excerpt from SUGARPLUM WAY:

Aidan smiled that slow, sexy smile of his just before he lifted his gun and fired. The glass shattered, and the. . .

A shrill beeping sound pulled Julia out of the story. Startled, she jumped. Her initial thought was that she’d put on the teapot and had forgotten to turn off the burner. She blinked and opened her eyes. She’d been trying to get deeper into her character’s point of view by typing with her eyes closed. It hadn’t worked as well as she’d hoped. But it had ensured that she didn’t see the smoke . . . Smoke! There was smoke filling her living room. Again.

Duckety, duck, duck, duck.

The annoying voice on the smoke detector bleated fire, fire.

“Julia, open the damn door!”

Frantically searching under the papers littering her desk for her cell phone, she ignored the voice. Though she was impressed. It was amazing how real Adrian sounded. Like he was right outside . . . Wait a minute. He was calling her name, not Gillian’s. Crap, it was Aidan. Double crap, she knew why he was here. She’d thought she’d have until morning to face him.

“Hang on! I—” She heard a loud bang at the same time she found her phone. “I’m coming!” she called, running to the outside entry door as she punched in the assigned number for the alarm company.

At the same time she realized there was no dial tone, Aidan kicked in her door. It bounced off the wall and the hulking shadow of a man filled the open doorway. If she hadn’t recognized his voice, she’d be terrified. Given the intimidating expression on his face, she wondered if maybe she should still be afraid.

Fire, the smoke detector bleated again. Right, fire, smoke. “Hurry, I need your phone!” She made grabby motions with her fingers.

He looked at her like she’d lost it and strode into the room. “Your alarm is connected to the station. They’ll be on their way. Where’s the fire? Do you have an extinguisher?”

“No, no, I don’t need the fire department. I need your phone.” She rushed forward. He didn’t seem to understand the urgency of the situation, and she began patting him down.

He reached in his pocket, punching in a code before handing her his phone. Of course his would be password protected.

“Thanks,” she said to his back as he prowled around her apartment, no doubt looking for the source of the smoke. “Um, I think my nachos are on fire.”

She made a face at his muttered, “You have got to be shitting me.” And then went to look up the alarm company’s number on her phone, only to realize she couldn’t access it because her cell was dead. “Duck.”

She raced to her desk searching for the alarm company’s business card while muttering to herself, “I need the number. Where would I put the number for the alarm company? Laptop. Of course.” Laptop, no! It was on and open for him to see. She slammed the lid shut at the same time the oven door bang closed.

Aidan strode from the kitchen wearing her burned oven mitt and carrying a charbroiled tray of smoking ash. “It’s usually on the unit,” he said dryly before heading out the door.

Which went to prove that the man didn’t miss a thing, even her half-whispered conversation with herself.

At the return of his heavy footsteps, she turned her back to her desk, attempting to use her body as a shield. Widening her stance and her arms, she wrapped her fingers around the edge of the desk and leaned back in hopes of concealing any evidence of her book from his all-seeing cop’s eyes.

He glanced at her and then did a double take. She thought she heard a muttered, “Jesus,” before he retrieved his phone from her hand and continued across the living room, dodging a basket of laundry, a box of decorations she’d yet to put up on the tree, and a half-eaten bowl of cereal.

Wondering what was with the double take, she looked around. She didn’t see anything out of the ordinary. Sure her place was a little messy, but he was a guy. He probably wouldn’t even notice. She thought of something he might notice and looked down.

Yep, that was probably the reason for the look. It was obvious she was cold, and her body-hugging black T-shirt read “Santa’s Favorite Ho” with the jolly old elf ho, ho, hoing, paired with black-and-white plaid flannel sleep pants.

When Aidan reached the other side of the living room, he placed the cell phone between his shoulder and ear and raised the window. “Yeah, it’s Aidan Gallagher. The call from 232 Main Street is a false alarm. That’s her. Five times, is that so? I’ll tell her, thanks.”

“It wasn’t five false alarms. It was four.” She faced her desk to quickly bury a paperback copy of Warrior’s Kiss and her contract for Warrior’s Touch under some paper and turn her notepad upside down while doing a visual search for any other incriminating evidence.

“Doesn’t matter. You still broke the record for false alarms in a six-week timeframe. Dispatch says Mrs. Rosenbloom had three.”

“Are they charging me?”

“No” He answered his ringing phone and then bowed his head. “Hello, Dad. Yes, she’s fine. Is that right? Nachos. No, smoke’s not too bad. Okay, I’ll do that. Don’t remind me,” he grumbled and then disconnected.

Whatever his dad said to Aidan didn’t improve his already not-so-happy mood. She really didn’t feel like talking about the suggestion she’d made to Harper and why. Fending off his probing questions would be difficult, and she wasn’t exactly equipped to handle him tonight. She was tired, and her throat had passed sore an hour before.

“I really appreciate you dropping by, but it’s late, and I have an early day.” She forced a smile and moved to see him . . . out her broken door. She barely managed to stifle an anguished moan. She couldn’t face the thought of dealing with repairing the door tonight.

He lifted his chin to the left of the kitchen. “Is that your bedroom?”

She ignored her inner hussy who yelled who needs a bed and suggested Julia throw herself on the floor at his feet. Her inner hussy was way more optimistic about their chances of getting lucky tonight.

“Yes, but I don’t see . . . What do you think you’re doing?” she said as he walked over and opened her bedroom door. Umm, more like shoved it open. The clothes that had been hanging over her door this morning had fallen off when she closed it, and she’d been running late.

“I’m not going anywhere until you tell me what you said to Harper and why. You’re tired? Fine, you can talk to me from your bed while I fix your door.” He looked around her bedroom. “If we can find your bed.”

She grabbed a pink lacy bra off the doorknob and held it behind her back. “I’ve been busy. I haven’t had time to tidy up.”

“What, like in a year?”

“Very funny. I’m sure your room isn’t any better.”

“Sugarplum, my bedroom didn’t look this bad when I was a kid.”

She kind of liked that he called her sugarplum but could do without the sarcasm. She scooted past him to scoop up her bras and panties and any other embarrassing items that were lying on the floor . . . and on the bed . . . and on her dresser. And half sticking out of her nightstand drawer! As breezily as she could, she moved to the front of the nightstand in hopes of blocking his view. “It’s a little smoky in here. Maybe you should open that window too?”

She smiled. He sighed.

As soon as his back was turned, she thigh-checked the nightstand drawer closed. Only it didn’t close. Instead it acted like a rocket launcher, and her fluorescent pink vibrator sailed through the air to land with a splash in the goldfish bowl sitting on the bench at the end of her bed. Her mouth fell open, and then she covered it, releasing a muffled, “I’ve killed Eric and Ariel!”

Aidan looked from the fish bowl to her and started to laugh, a deep rumbly sound that she would have enjoyed if it wasn’t at her expense and if . . . “It’s not funny! My fish are drowning. Save them!”

That made him laugh harder, and his shoulders started to shake. “Death by vibrator. Not a bad way to go.”
“That’s a horrible thing to say, Aidan Gallagher.” She cautiously removed the vibrator from the water, her shoulders sagging in relief when Erik and Ariel swam to the surface. “And FYI, this is not a vibrator. It’s a personal massager.” She rubbed it against the back of her neck. “See, you should try it.”

Q&A With Jodi Ellen Malpas:

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?

Never, ever acknowledge or respond to negativity.

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?

The most embarrassing would have to be escort agencies when researching for One Night. There was one with a live chart, and I accidently clicked ‘chat now’. I ran out of my poffice like they might see me through the screen if I stayed in my chair :-/

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing your main characters from THE FORBIDDEN ?

My characters are always perfectly clear in my mind, but never based on anyone. I never think of things like who would play them when creating or writing, so I can’t really answer that. Readers like to imagine their very own perfect.

What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about THE FORBIDDEN?

Before Annie was an architect, she was a wedding planner. But I decided it was too cliché. So changed her occupation.

About the Author

Jodi Ellen Malpas was born and raised in the Midlands’ town of Northampton, England, where she lives with her two boys. Q&A With Sarah Skilton:

Describe yourself in five words.
Idealistic, anxious, loyal, silly, stubborn.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m a black belt in Tae Kwon Do and Hap Ki Do.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?
Write the stories you’d most like to read. Don’t attempt to follow trends.
What do you listen to while you write? Or do you prefer silence?
Usually silence, but if there’s a song that reminds me of a character, I’ll listen to that on repeat while I write the scene he or she is in.
What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?
That’s a killer question! For this book, I had to look up poison, and poisoning methods. Didn’t want my husband (who’s a real-life magician!) walking in with that on Google.
What was your favorite part of writing CLUB DECEPTION?
So many things. But if I had to narrow it down, I particularly enjoyed introducing these disparate characters with different agendas and opposing POVs who wouldn’t necessarily have been friends at the beginning, and then showing how their relationships have evolved by the end into a tight-knit, bonded group. Also the love scenes and fight scenes were fun 🙂
Which actor/actress would you like to see playing your main characters from CLUB DECEPTION?
I love playing around with casting, especially since I used to work in that industry as a script reader who wrote descriptions of characters so that actors going on auditions would know what to expect. Here’s my dream list:
Claire: Anna Gunn or Katee Sackhoff
Jessica: Jennifer Morrison
Kaimi: Grace Park
Felix: Jay Hernandez
Landon: Michael B. Jordan
Cal: Ioan Gruffudd or Tom Hiddleston
Jonathan: Stellan Skarsgard

What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about CLUB DECEPTION?

There really is an association of clowns that will auto-subscribe you to their magazine if you buy their performer insurance. Sadly, I think it’s only online these days but at one point it was a magazine that really did come in the mail.

What are you working on now?

I’m writing a romantic comedy and it’s a blast!

Is there anything else you’d like to tell us?
My hope for this book is that it provides an escape for readers–something that completely takes them out of the stresses of this crazy year. That’s the best possible outcome I can imagine, and I’d be very honored if it makes people laugh, gasp, and turn the pages quickly.

Q&A with Tessa Bailey!

Describe yourself in five words.

Stubborn, driven, skeptical, emotional, buzzed.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?

It wasn’t advice that was given to me directly, but I read a quote from Nora Roberts once that I remember whenever I feel like slacking off. Writing is a job. Sit down and do your job. I’m paraphrasing, but it went something like that. No excuses!

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?

Oh man! What haven’t they flagged me for? This morning, I Googled, “Can you have sex with a broken rib?” That was pretty tame, but still funny!

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing your main characters from TOO HARD TO FORGET?

Ooooh. Well well well. When I think of Peggy, she’s like a blonde Ashley Greene. Very provocative with a lot of intelligence and secrets in her eyes. As for Elliott, this is going to be so hard, because no one really matches the picture of him in my head. But I think the closest I can come is a young Sean Bean. Circa 1998 when he acted in Ronin. Is that confusing enough? I might be persuaded to cast a young Christopher Meloni, too.

What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about TOO HARD TO FORGET?

The hero, Elliott, was inspired by my real life crush on Baltimore Ravens coach, John Harbaugh. And when I told my editor, we realized she has a crush on him, too. So we were both super excited for this book to roll around.

 About Tessa Bailey:

Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans, and laptop, and drove cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend, and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention.

She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband and daughter. Although she is severely sleep-deprived, she is incredibly happy to be living her dream of writing about people falling in love.

WICKED COWBOY CHARM Blog Tour

February 8, 2017

Welcome to my stop on Carolyn Brown’s WOCKED COWBOY CHARM Blog Tour! I’m thrilled to share with you all of the details about this amazing book, including an exclusive Q&A with the author! Enjoy!

About WICKED COWBOY CHARM:

ONE BLIZZARD, ONE BUNKHOUSE, AND A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE . . .

Josie Dawson is new in town, but it doesn’t take a local to know that Deke Sullivan is trouble—in a smokin’ hot package. He’s sweet, sexy, and has charmed just about every woman in Dry Creek, Texas. Well, Josie won’t be next. She’ll keep her distance, even if he is great with babies and makes a mean cup of homemade hot chocolate.

Deke Sullivan really is a one-woman type of guy. He just had to do a lot of looking to find that one woman. Now he thinks he’s found her and he won’t let a strong, sassy gal like Josie slip away. Just when he’s wondering how to convince her he only has eyes for her, they get stranded in a tiny cabin during a major blizzard. If Deke can melt her heart before they dig out of the snow, he’ll be the luckiest cowboy in Texas . . .

Q&A With Carolyn Brown:

Describe yourself in five words.

Organized. Bossy (but only a little bit). Sassy. Loving. Kind (on the days my characters are cooperating)

What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?

Write every single day even if it’s only a page and even if it’s bad writing. You can always rewrite something later if it’s not good. The other was to never give up. I had enough rejection letters to wall paper the White House and I mean the one in Washington D.C., not the little one bedroom shotgun house up the street. Twenty years worth of them filed away in a drawer before I finally sold my first book. So keep writing and never give up.

What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?

If they come looking for me it will be to search my house for guns, I’m sure. (NOTE: I do have my pink .38 pistol tucked away in a purple silk bag so hopefully they’ll think it’s makeup or jewelry). But if they ever come to carry me away in handcuffs it will be for threatening to blow up spell check. A quick story: I was writing a sex scene and I used the word crescendo but alas I misspelled it and when I was doing the spell check just before I sent it to the editor, it corrected it to credenza. Thank goodness I had a good copy editor! There’s money hidden right beside the pistol for bail so please come get me out of jail if that ever happens.

Which actor/actress would you like to see playing your main characters from WICKED COWBOY CHARM?

If we could get Blake Shelton to do some acting, he could be Deke. And Carrie Underwood would be an excellent Josie.

What is an unknown fact or fun trivia about WICKED COWBOY CHARM?

When I started writing this series, I had no idea that Deke would get his own story but my fans kept asking and so here it is. I really love my awesome fans and here’s hoping that they all love Wicked Cowboy Charm!

Bottoms Up
a Sexy, Naughty Cock Tale Book

By: Kate Deveaux

Released January 2, 2017

About BOTTOMS UP:

Love best served shaken not stirred…one naughty drink at a time.

A bartender with a special talent for picking the perfect cocktail meets his match when down-on-her-luck Lexi walks into Bottoms Up. Well known for creating drinks with very naughty names, Justin whips up a cocktail especially for Lexi, hoping to ease the pain he sees in her soulful eyes.

With each sip Lexi realizes she’d much rather stay in Bottoms Up with the sexy, tattooed barman who seems to know just how to heal her broken heart.

Night after night, Lexi is drawn back to the bar to explore Justin’s list of naughty drink recipes in more detail–after hours. One deliciously dirty creation after another unleashes her extreme fantasies when he shows her how to let go of her inhibitions.

One tantalizing drink recipe at a time.

Miss Riki’s Review:

You guys, I loved this book!

It’s full of super sexy moments, but is not without some serious heart. Our heroine, Lexi, is having some really tough times. She’s lost the love of her life and just gotten out of a relationship with a very abusive man, and to top things off has lost her job. When she stumbles out of the hot Arizona heat into Bottoms Up Bar and meets sexy bartender Justin, all bets are off. This girl needs some Sexual Healing, like- pronto- and thankfully he has just the thing. (A drink….get your mind out of the gutter!)

But not too far out of the gutter, because in addition to the wild cocktail concoctions with seriously sexy names comes some seriously sexy behind the bar action. I loved Justin and Lexi together! They have off-the-charts chemistry, and the way he gives her a chance to remake her life and just falls for her little by little warmed my heart. These two are dynamite in bed, but there’s a sweetness to their relationship that is intriguing and lovely.

If you’re looking for a quick escape into a super sexy read- look no further. Bottoms Up is hot, hot, hot- but also emotionally fulfilling. You’ll adore this book.

Q&A With Kate Deveaux:

Can you tell us a little about your book?

Bottoms Up is a sizzling romance between a broken hearted heroine and a bartender who concocts cocktails with very naughty names at his bar. Through the sexy drinks Justin mixes for Lexi, he heals her broken heart as he teaches her how to make those dirty drinks by acting them out with her. Night after night. From  ‘Pop My Cherry’ to ‘Sex On The Pool Table’ it’s one erotic lesson in lovemaking after another. Filled with dirty drink recipes, I hope you’ll enjoy this Naughty Cock Tale Book, Bottoms Up!

What types of scenes are your most favorite to write?

Hands down, I love to write the scenes where they characters reveal their vulnerabilities. In my stories these scenes are almost always the sex scenes. These scenes are the most intimate interaction between the hero and heroine. The explicit sexual descriptions and sensual tone are merely the vehicle that I hope transports my reader into the very moment when one character exposes their deepest fears, hopes, and expectations to their lover as the scene evolves. These scenes are thrilling and challenging to write, but so fun too!

If you could have dinner with any three authors (alive or dead), who would you choose and why?

Number one, I would want to have dinner with Charlotte Bronte. For me, she is one of the quintessential role models of an author writing about social conventions in both day-to-day life and romance. Number Two, Danielle Steele. Her prolific swathe of work over the past thirty years is not only remarkable, but inspiring to me as an author. She was one the first authors I ever read as a young adult and loved the scandalously sexy stories she told. I’ve been a fan ever since! Third, I’d love to meet Colleen McCullough. Thornbirds is one of my favorite books filled with sensual writing and the gut wrenching agony of social conventions and forbidden love.

What are you favorite types of stories to read?

I read contemporary fiction mostly. Romance, sexy and non, and general women’s fiction. I also enjoy reading biographies. I just finished ‘Victoria, The Queen’ by Julia Baird. An inspired read of the lesser known details of Victoria’s love affair with Albert and her robust desire for sexual pleasure and her humanity was delightful to read about. An empowered woman, Queen Victoria continues to inspire through Baird’s writings.

Is anything in your book based on real life experiences or purely all imagination?

I think all stories authors tell are hinged somewhere in experiences we may have had and people that we have met. These experiences cannot help seep into our writing. For myself, although some of the subject matter might be fantasy — or not,  the reactions to the actions in the book are almost always something tangible that I can relate to from personal experience. I like to tell as story as if I am living it.

Can you tell us about your upcoming book?

My next book that is coming out soon is ‘Fit to Be Tied’ part of the Bimini Bound series. The rubenesque heroine, Liz, leaves behind her dreary Seattle office to attend a work outing in the Bahamas aboard the boss’s mega yacht. Liz quickly finds herself in the middle of a very sexy case of mistaken identity, with the added thrill of ménage romance when she is seduced by the sexy guest on board and his sidekick. A voyeuristic hero with a taste for bondage and ménage,  Fit to Be Tied is a curvy romance full of mistaken identity and sexual fantasies that I hope will have you eager to hop on board!
