Description from Goodreads:
Chloe Franklin wouldn’t call herself a commitment-phobe, so much as she’s allergic to anything long term. She loves the sexy, sweaty and intensely hot hours of the night that come before the sun rises, though. Especially when those nights are spent with Search-and-Rescuer Gage McGraw…
Gage loves his job, but there is one thing he’s starting to like more than the rush of a mission–a stacked blonde with a mouth that haunts his dreams. Every time he steps foot in the sleepy town of Beaufort, he hooks up with Chloe. But he’s tired of hooks-ups. He wants more.
Just the sight of Gage gets Chloe’s blood going. Hot, bothered, and finally naked, she’s ready for their night to start. But before he takes her, he whispers what his intentions really are…and then the games really begin.
Interview With Joya Ryan:
Describe yourself in five words.
Fun. Thoughtful. Anxious. Exhausted. Responsible.
What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I’m color blind.
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received in your writing career?
Never give up.
What do you listen to while you write? Or do you prefer silence?
I prefer silence. However, for every book, there is a theme song or soundtrack I’ll turn on if I need inspiration.
What is the most embarrassing thing you’ve looked up in the name of research – or what do you think the government has maybe flagged you for?
Haha, so, so many things. Usually I Google things I need logistics to. Like positions or rules. The most embarrassing is probably, “where do you put your feet for reverse cowgirl in the car?” And I can give you one guess as to what kind of websites popped up when I asked that…
What was your favorite part of writing TELL ME YOU NEED ME?
I really enjoyed diving into the characters for this book since it’s the woman who has the commitment issues and the man wanting a relationship. It was fun to write that role reversal.
In TELL ME YOU NEED ME, Gage is the sexiest of alpha male heroes and serves with the Search & Rescue. What is so appealing about a manly man like Gage that keeps romance readers coming back for more?
I think it’s that fact that he’s a manly man, but a total softy at heart. He’s a protector and how he treats Chloe is what really shines through. He can be badass and strong, but one specific woman can bring him to his knees and that’s enduring.
In TELL ME YOU NEED ME, Chloe owns the restaurant/bar Honey’s, and struggles to make her mother’s signature crab cakes. Do you enjoy cooking? Do you have a signature dish?
I do enjoy cooking! I also love baking! I’d have to say my signatures dish are my chicken bacon ranch tacos. It’s a favorite around my house.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on book #3 in the Search and Seduce series…Natalie and East’s book!
