I am thrilled to be a part of the Blog Tour for Robyn Thomas’ novel FAMOUSLY ENGAGED! I have lots of great things for you today, including details about this awesome book, a chance to win a Fossil Women’s Watch, and best of all, an interactive quiz designed by Robyn Thomas herself! I’d like to say a special thank you to Robyn for the opportunity to participate!
About FAMOUSLY ENGAGED:
A chef and a rock star. They couldn’t be from more different worlds…
Rock star royalty’s favorite son, Jake Olsen, couldn’t help but interfere after listening to his future brother-in-law talk non-stop about his ex-wife, Beth Carlisle. Jake decides that the only way to get the groom’s mind off his ex-wife is to give her a fake fiancé.
Before Jake can convince Beth of his plan, he’s forced to move in with her to avoid the paparazzi. Their instant attraction makes for a sizzling “first date”, but soon Jake’s fame gets in the way and Beth wants out. Too bad Jake’s figured out just why her ex is so obsessed with her, and he’s afraid he’s not going to be able to give her up either.
Now it’s up to Jake to convince this chef together they make the perfect recipe.
QUIZ TIME WITH ROBYN THOMAS:
I’m honoured to be a guest here today. Thanks for inviting me, Miss Riki.
I thought we’d have some fun with a light-hearted quiz. Ready?
If I HAD to fake an engagement to a celebrity, I imagine that my fiancé would be famous because:
a) He’s a rock star.
b) He’s a rocket scientist.
c) He’s made a ridiculous fortune from investing other people’s money.
If I had two almost identical houseguests who both introduced themselves as Ken, I would:
a) Act as if it was perfectly normal.
b) Come up with some nicknames to amuse myself.
c) Question them. They need a name each before they can stay in my house!
If I had a clingy ex-husband and he asked me to plan his next wedding, my response would be:
a) To hang up the phone then shelve his request in the round file. (Aka the wastepaper basket.)
b) I’d plan it, but there’d be a surprise or two. Perhaps the cake would have black icing.
c) Relief. If that’s all I have to do to get some distance then I’m happy to do it!
And finally, if someone (with their own fashion label) described my clothing in the middle of the night as “more of a fancy dress costume than pajamas” and said I looked “like a colourful baby chick,” I think I’d:
a) Be tempted to throw something gooey and messy at his pristine clothing.
b) Strip down to basics – cotton sleep pants and a singlet – and assume that would shut him up.
c) Steal his top at my earliest convenience and drag it on over my head. If you can’t beat them…
Beth Carlisle, my heroine in Famously Engaged, answered 1a, 2b, 3c and all of the above for question 4! You can find out how well her choices worked out by reading the book.
