I’m back this week with an update! I’d love to hear what you’ve been up to as well, so feel free to leave a comment and chime in! I would love to celebrate your good news!
What I’m Writing:
This will probably come as a surprise to nobody, but I am still working on revisions for my contemporary YA titled THAT YEAR! Seriously, I set out with a revision plan, a one month deadline, and a whole lot of confidence that all of that would be enough, but quickly found that revising can so easily taken a life of its own. You change one seemingly little thing and it snowballs into an extra week of revisions that you just didn’t anticipate!
But- for real, I am so darned close to finishing. Like, this week, guys. Really. I’m doubling up on my writing sessions and doing whatever it takes to finish this thing up before November 1st. Why November 1st, you ask? Well, because that marks the start of National Novel Writing Month, and I am totally participating. More on that below…
What I’m Reading:
I’m enjoying Thanksgiving-themed romances this week for a column that I’ll be writing in November. So far I’ve enjoyed a couple of short novellas and one classic Thanksgiving story from Janet Evanovich. I’ve got three more to get to this week, and I’m totally enjoying them!
What I’m Listening To:
Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend the Garth Brooks concert here in Phoenix, and it has totally rekindled my love for country music, so this week my soundtrack is all about that country!
What’s Inspiring Me:
This week I am inspired by…COFFEE! No, seriously, I’ve got so much to do this week that I’m just mainlining the stuff like there’s no tomorrow. So, don’t judge! I’m inspired by coffee!
Like I mentioned above, November 1st marks the start of National Novel writing Month, or NaNoWriMo for short. For those of you unfamiliar with NaNoWriMo, it is a month where writers everywhere across the globe set off with the goal of writing a 50,000 words novel in the month of November. It’s crazy. It’s fun. And I’m hoping it will get me that much closer to finishing my next project, an adult romance titled BORDERLINE!
